Vaccine Injury in Birmingham, AL

The Law Firm of Ragsdale LLC has clients throughout the United States who have been injured by vaccines.

There are no Attorneys' Fees or costs charged to our clients, and we do not take a percentage or contingency fee out of any award you receive. Our Firm will apply for an award of fees at the conclusion of the case that is paid separately out of the Vaccine Injury Compensation Fund.

Immunizations, while beneficial, do carry a small risk of catastrophic adverse reactions. In 1988, Congress enacted a law that prevents citizens from filing a lawsuit against the manufacturer of a vaccine. In most cases, the only remedy for someone harmed by a vaccine is to file a claim with the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program in the Federal Court of Claims in Washington and prove through specialized medical experts that the vaccine triggered the injury.

The claims are often very complex and are defended vigorously by the attorneys with the Department of Justice. Vaccine injuries are often debilitating, painful, and costly. Because vaccine injuries are rare, treating physicians often do not make the connection between the disease and the vaccine. Most patients and physicians are unaware of the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP). If you suspect that a vaccine may have caused you or a loved one to acquire a serious medical condition including those  listed below, we encourage you to call or email us. There is no charge.

We assist people from anywhere in the United States with their vaccine injury claims.

We are among the 300 attorneys in the United States listed as Vaccine Attorneys in the Court of Federal Claims in Washington, DC. Our Clients are residents of many different states.

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING FLU SHOTS AND GUILLAIN BARRE SYNDROME

Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) can strike anyone.  It can be triggered by flu shots and other vaccines.  Most people recover from GBS, but it is a long and painful process.

The Health and Human Services Department has approved changes to the Vaccine Injury program that could improve one's chances of obtaining compensation especially with regard to flu vaccine induced Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) and shoulder injuries related to vaccines (SIRVA).  The time for filing the claim will be extended from 3 years to approximately 8 years; anyone who has acquired GBS or a shoulder injury following a flu vaccine should consult an attorney knowledgeable about vaccine litigation.
